Girlyness

This is Sabine upon our bed as I prepared for the Sabbath ahead. The light was so pretty that I hurriedly pulled up the bed covers this morning to snap shots of the girls. When our photo session was through, I first carried Marlo downstairs to settle her near the fire in a bouncy chair. I turned and climbed the steps to fetch her sister Sabine. Upon entering our bedroom I paused and admired this pretty scene. I so often photo the girls, Hugo too, at close range that I miss shots like this. I really like the calm that I see here. The stillness of the room.

I haven't managed to figure out little girl hair accessories yet, I can barely handle my own hair! My brother Joshua asked if I planned on gluing hair bows with Karo syrup to the girls heads. No, Joshua. I'm not. I wont say I never will (even though I'm quite sure I never will) cause then, I just might. I want to learn to french braid tho. I need some little girl 1O1 classes. Someone thought Marlo was a boy today, I might be needing a rhinestone or something for her head... Poor Marlo! Her hair is wild, crazy and spiky just like Hugo's used to be so there is hope for the little thing!

Look at those tights with the printed Mary Jane's on the feet!
Such sweetness!
Thank you Rachel.

I've tried many times to capture a good shot of the girls wearing their heart hats. It's hard. I haven't done the precious knitted hats justice and have decided that these shots will have to suffice. I'm done with heart hat photos but oh . my . goodness, love how the girls look in their love bonnets. The pattern is going to be my go to baby knitting pattern from now on. Anyone interested? Babies on the way?? The heart hat pattern is by Elizabeth Zimmerman.

Hi Alissa,
really beautiful pictures of your kids;
and don't worry about the cat, she knows these are your "cubs" and wants to protect them too (I also had one in my crib, and she wouldn't allow strangers to come near me).
XoXo
(Oh, and I'm the 2nd cousin of your husband, Isabel)

Hello Isabel,
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I'm always curious as to who might be lurking about the blog. I peeked at your blog and oh my goodness! Love your cats! One of my great grandmothers always had Siamese cats, so I have a soft spot for them.
