Baking For Breakfast

Cesar let me sleep in this morning.  I wish I could say that I felt restored and rejuvenated upon waking, that just wasn't the case.  I can't seem to shake the lingering body aches of the flu we just suffered through.  The icing upon my morning, a throbbing headache decided to torment me.  I snuggled deeper into the sheets, pretending my best, that it was all lovely, lovely, lovely sleeping in like I was.  That my back and knees weren't twisted and sore and that my head felt nothing like a freight train hadn't tunneled through.  Eventually, I acknowledged to myself that I was not enjoying my sleeping in.  What a shame!  Oh boo, hoo, hoo!

The promise of a new recipe for banana apple muffins gave my legs the lift they needed to swing my body up and out of bed and right on down the stairs.  Two Excedin later... I preheated the oven and began mixing the ingredients.

Cesar had fed the girls and started the morning fire, he was anxious to get out side to begin shoveling.  Hugo watched Super Why on Netflix while showing off his dance moves for us.  He reminded his Papa to hurry his shoveling job so they could go sledding.

While waiting for the muffins to bake, Sabine and I shared some Clementines.  She is a picky eater compared to her sister.  Marlo loves tomatoes now, not Sabine.  They both inhale my pumpkin cranberry bread and Clementines.  They also love bananas so I'm hoping these new muffins will be a hit.
