Shadow Shot Sunday #10

Hands are my favorite part of the human body. Whether the subject before me is male of female makes no difference, I always look at their hands. I don't care if the fingers are long or short, have good nails or bad, I just like hands. The small hands which belong to my son are naturally my very favorite of all. I love when he holds up a finger describing some new owie through crocodile tears, wanting a kiss to make it all better. Sometimes I mess it up. Sometimes he tells me that I kissed the wrong spot. I do my very best to suppress the giggle that so wants to come out! Instead, I'll ask him to point out his injury to me once more. He'll pause a moment and examine his fingers, choose a new spot and say, "Here, Momma." How simple it is to make things all better in Hugo Land.

How blissful to be in Hugo Land. I really miss kissing little fingers all better, but now I can occasionally do that with my grandchildren.

Hands are fascinating to me too. Way back --waayy back--when I was in 4-H, I did a photo picture story of hands. Great picture!

Lovely! I adore hands too; bad hands on a man turn me off. Funny. Is it genetic??

What a beautiful photo Alissa! I love that it's in black & white. Just gorgeous! Cute story about little Hugo. I don't have children, but sometimes when my dog receives an ant bite on her paw she expects me to kiss it better. As much as I love her, I don't oblige. I give her a little treat instead to placate her. Thankfully that strategy works :D

What a wonderful photo this is! I love hands too. I did a blog post on them quite a while back, with photos. This is a great SSS.

I too love hands, especially large male hands full of character and weathered work scars. You can feel the strengh in these hands by their rugged appearance.

But lil' Hugo's man-to-be hannies are adorable and oh so kissable, where ever the booboo is!

Gorgeous photo and lovely, tender post. I enjoyed scrolling down the page. Hugo looks to be pure joy. Hugo Land seems to be a wonderful and magical place. Nice to remember that some people (children) actually get joy out of snow. Still, I'm glad it's finally starting to melt here where I live.

"Wow! What a gorgeous dress! Right up my alley. Wherever did you find it, or did you make it? Feel like making another one?"
I wish I had the sewing skills to make that dress. I found it at an estate sale. Sold in one of my shops sometime fairly recently as I recall. Sorry...I'd make you one if I thought I could.

This is one of the nicest photos I've seen in a long time. Your blog is really lovely, especially the way you're chronicling your son's adventures. Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

B/W makes for some of the best shadows, doesn't it? In color we'd have probably not even paid any attention to the shadows, but this just brings them right out! Nice!
