Hugo brought his frog costume downstairs after nap time today. Together we slipped his arms and legs into the appropriate holes and fixed the elastic straps into place. Flipped the eyeball hoodie up on top of his head and zipped him up.
He smiled big!
He began to hop about here and there around the downstairs.
I tried my best at croaking sounds.
Hugo said, "No Mom, stop it."
Well, sorrrrrry! I thought. I had simply wanted in on the frog fun.
My amphibian boy began his own set of croaks and ribbits.
It was my turn to smile big. And I did.
Soon enough it was time for us to bundle up and collect some wood for the evenings fire. We quickly loaded up the wheelbarrow and pushed it on over to our front door so we could play. Luckily, we are experiencing a warming trend in the weather. It was 55 today! I still wore my hat and Hugo wore his. He is so good about wearing his hat that I have fears of one day he'll tell me N - O spells no more hats for me. That he'll be too cool for a hat knitted by his mother. Maybe one day but not today.
Hugo was crazy for the massive puddles in the drive!
