Millie May Price Is Moving

 

My sister Millie leaves the country with her children today, to begin an exciting chapter in their families life in Spain.  Trent is already there, and is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his family.   I wish I were going too.  Not because I'm jealous of her new digs in sunny southern Spain, but because she has been such a wonderful friend to me and I'm afraid of the coming break in our communication.  Losing three girlfriends and one sister in eight months time, due to new job locations, has taken an emotional toll on me.  I'm gonna miss you Millie!!!

I love my sister Millie.  She makes me laugh and laugh and bakes a tasty cheesecake.  Millie is a great photographer and an even better mother.  She loves her husband and the gospel completely.  My sister Millie is creative, smart, caring, the best friend, and a super sounding board.  Millie is cool.  I love my sister Millie and I am going to miss her like mad... so Trent had better find a really big house, because the kids and I are coming over!

These pics were taken on walks we shared after our collective six kids were tucked in beds at Popeye's house.

 

Our Family

My sister Millie took these pictures of us this past September.  It was hot and the air was full of bugs.  Bugs of the biting kind.  If Hugo looks a little odd it is no fault of Millie's, he was attacked in the night by killer mosquitos.  They love him.  His poor eye was swollen up for days.  He looked like he was my little prize fighter!  I loved the photos anyway.  We don't have many chances to be photographed together these days.

Before bedtime tonight, I asked Hugo the following questions regarding his family.

What do you feel when you see this picture?
Sad cause I look sad in this picture, I love Sabine, I love you, I love myself and Papa, and I love Marlo.

What do you like about this picture?
I love the dress you are wearing, it is very beautiful.  I love Marlo's tummy, I like to blow bubbles on the girls tummies and it sounds like a toot but it's not a toot it's a bubble!

What do you love about your family?
My family gives me toys and Santa gives me more toys.  And I love Sabine because she is so silly.

What do you like to do with your family?
I play with Sabine, I play with Marlo, I just want to play with my Mom and my Papa and we go to the pool and I like going to swimming class.

Where do you like to go with your family?
To the zoo and the dinosaur museum.  (Interesting, since we have been to neither as a family!)

What do you love about:
Papa:  He makes my tree house and I always help him.  Sometimes he gets mad because I don't know what I'm doing.  I just want to be with him.
Momma:  I love her beary much.
Marlo:  She likes to play with me, she's really, really, really silly!
Sabine:  Sabine is more funny than Marlo!  She likes my funny faces.

I guess I had hopes of more variety in his answers, but that's what I got when I interviewed my 5 year old just before bedtime.
