Shadow Shot #9

My shadow shot entry is a bit lengthy this week. The photos here highlight the past two weeks Hugo and I spent in Oceanside, CA with my sister Millie, her husband Trent and the cousins - Lucas, Emry and Carly.

The above shadow shot shows cousins glued at the hip - no strings attached!

Lizards, lizards everywhere.

Boots tossed hither and yon with wet, sandy socks were a daily happening.

Cousins/little sisters were lovingly smooshed, daily.

Waves and shadows were chased as often as possible.

Hugo and I posed as I have so often envied in others SS entries.

Slides enjoyed.

Swimming holes discovered.

Nonstop movement.

Little ones adored.

Happiness.

Fresh tank tracks from the beach at Camp Pendelton.

My sand art with Emry's feet and shadow.

Sand angels and gull tracks. This was all Hugo's idea by the way.

Family.

For more Shadow Shot entries please visit Hey Harriet and say hello while joining in on the fun!

Oooo ... so many beautiful shots I don't know where to start. Among my favourites are Happiness and your sand art - but they are all quite stunning. What a marvellous time you must have had.

Emry and Hugo could be brother and sister in that first photo. Oh so cute! I wish we could have come out there too! My kids still talk about running on the beach and we were probably only there about three hours total. Thanks for the beautiful photos again Ali! I also hope you guys are feeling better.

Love Hugo most idea & him as a sand angel. Well, he is!

Love shots, Lady!

Oh what trouble they look like they are up to! Your shadows are so fun - we find the one with your drawing in the sand is really neat! The shadow looks like it belongs in the drawing!

Being California home-grown, these pics sure brought back memories. The photo essay of your trip is spectacular! It is hard to choose a favorite.

Yay! You're back Alissa! You were very missed! What a wonderful collection of shadows this is. I especially love the beach shots. Very sweet! Looks like a fun holiday you guys had. I popped in here yesterday but was so mesmerised by the photos that I forgot to leave a comment saying how much I like them! Just remembered now while at work. Yeah...the things that pop into my head while I'm meant to be working...hehe. Speaking of which, better get back to it. Boss has just arrived. Grrr. Have a great day/night, whatever time it is over there :D

What great pictures! What great kids! In the first shot, it looks as if they are chasing their shadows. Every one is a gem.
