Hugo and I are both sick. Yucky gross sick. First him, well still him, and now me. The little guy is taking a monster long nap at the moment. Who knows why, but I can't sleep. I am tired and achy all over. Why can't I sleep??? I could really use some shuteye about now. I do know that the minute I would close my eyes I will hear a thud, a thump, thump, thump, a creeeeeeeek as his bedroom door opens and then, from the top of the stairs Hugo will call down, "Momma, I wake up!"

Hope you both feel better, Ali. I was "know me down" sick with a cold two weekends ago. I usually get sick once a year, and I always do it big. :) Beautiful blue pictures-as always.

Sunday before last we went to a childrens Christmas party. We came home with several craft tree ornaments, a couple of gingerbread men and the stomach flu.
Gina was ill with 5 days of throwing up and accepting nothing but breast milk. She is a year old and demands a lot of feeding! Then Alistair came down with it and finally my turn. The only one who escaped was Arianwen. Must be glad for small mercies.
One afternoon, I was sick. Immediately following, Gina threw up on the carpet. And Arianwen needed to pee. We have a gate at the bottom of the stairs that had shut itself and she could not get through to the bathroom.
"Momma, the gate is closed. I need to pee!"
As quickly as I could I cleaned myself up, cleaned Gina up and headed down the stairs. About halfway down I can hear the tinkle, tinkle of girl who just could not hold a minute longer.
So I had sick on the rug upstairs, pee on the rug downstairs, a baby that needed washing, a daughter that needed cleaning and a stomach that would not stop turning.
Sometimes a moment gets so extreme all you can do is shrug your shoulders and just get on with it!
I hope that you and Hugo get better soon and don't have any extreme moments of your own!
Oh sorry to hear that you guys are sick. That sucks! I hope you and Hugo are feeling better now. Or at least improving! Keep up your fluids & rest up (if you finally manage to sleep of course...nothing more frustrating than not being able to sleep!). Take care & hugs to you both! xo

Your visual poem to blue was far from blue - really cheery and lovely.
As regards my camera it is a NIKON coolpix - cost less than $150 since my daughter said it would be fine to start on.
I just wave it at things and shoot away.
I am getting anew camera for Christmas and it's making me nervous. Will I have to fiddle with dials?

Are you feeling better now? That flu is a nasty one this year. In November, everybody I knew was throwing up. I stayed home. Get better!!
Your photos are simply gorgeous. I feel relaxed by viewing them. They inspire me to do better with my own.
I love your photos. The couch is my favorite; although I'm not sure why. It's kinda eerie.
