I got my new fancy pants camera in the mail today! I have no idea how to use it, but I sure had fun trying it out. Getting used to a fixed lens is gonna be interesting. My sister Millie told me that once she selects a lens for her camera body, she tells herself that these are the types of photos she is taking for the day. It'll be a good photo exercise for me. At times, the kids rushed me and were on top of me before I knew it, and it was impossible for me to focus the shots. I have a lot to learn. So I've been reading. And asking questions. And boy, am I excited!

You must share the brand of camera you got. This these are amazing photos. I think I have to get a new lens for my Nikon, my 55-200mm takes beauties of pictures, but my 18-55mm is getting really grainy.
Hello, Thanks for the comment with photo love! I just got the Nikon d90 body, without a kit lens, and a 50mm lens. I've read great things about the 35mm and I really want a macro lens! Am curious about all that Lens Baby has to offer. So much to learn!
Hmmm... i have a D60... do you shoot RAW? Maybe it is because the 18-55 was dropped when we first got it about 4 years ago.... hmm..
I don't shoot RAW, but I'd like too. I plan on cornering Millie to teach me when we visit this summer!
Wow, Ali, your pictures (the colors and expressions of the kids) are awesome in these posts. Even Bryan was like, that shot is great (the dining room still life with flowers?). The kids all look very cute too.
:)
Ooo... jealous. I want a fancy-pants camera! I can't wait to see what you do with it. You have such a great eye. Enjoy!
