The news reported the other night that the
snow fall we've thus far received ranks as #5 on the snowiest winter list. It is supposed to snow on and off today and tomorrow with our sixth storm hitting Tues-Wednesday. This is a lot of snow and I promise that we
are trying our best to be positive and enjoy it while it lasts.
Cesar sent Hugo sledding down one of our hills a few times this morning. He also carved out an entrance and mini cave in a snow bank created by our plow man. Hugo ran into the house to tell me that his Papa built an igloo for him!
Our dreams are full of past swim classes at the pool and lazy afternoons at The Big Deep. And oh, how my toes long to be submerged into the wet, cool sand one day soon.

The snow sits at the 3 ft. level outside, the shoveled piles at 4 ft. Yes, winter has long since worn out its welcome. So a look at a warm day and the beautiful hand shadow, a child having fun, is wonderful. We wish for summer, but not too fast - so we don't age too quickly...
Terrific shadow shot, Alissa! Love the shadow of that sweet little hand! I think we're all SO ready for some sunshine and warm temps! It's been a really long winter for some reason! Hope you have a great weekend! Stay warm!

Oh, there is so much to look at in this shot. All the great shadows and reflections. A terrific photo.
That is an interesting shadow and reflection you captured. I'm sure you are as tired of the snow as I am tired of the fog in my part of the country. Winter will leave soon, we all hope.
wow, I love this shot. it appears as though the arm isn't attached but that's simply a stone beneath the water. what an interesting photo with reflection and shadow. very nice! Your children each have the same gorgeous smile! happy SSS, and before you know it, your toes will be in that cool sand...
That's a beautiful, creative shadow shot!
Alissa, superb, and I love it! The magnified shadow of the hands is amazing!
P.S. I love your header, cute facial expressions and smiles!
Oh, what a ghostly hand in the water!
IF YOU SEE A SHADOW
If you see a shadow
And want to keep it near,
Point your trusty shooter
(Make sure the lens is clear);
Press with care the shutter,
Do not slam or sock it—
Then you’ll have a photo
To carry in your pocket!

A Splendid, Shadowy Door
This really seems to be a disembodied hand, quite surreal at first glance. Very clever. Love the layers!
That is such a creative shot! This would be great for Weekend Reflections:

Congrats on your 13th anniversary!!
Great shot, the hand looks like it is detachted from the body.
Cool shot...I'm ready for warmer days :)
What a lovely shadow/reflection shot!
I'm actually longing to mow the grass, in the meantime, guess I'll burn a Fresh Cut Grass candle...ahhhh...happy iglooing!!!
Great shot - small and big hand in one picture. :)
Have a great week ahead!
That is one absolutely aMAZing photo. You've captured reflections, AND shadows!!
