Today's nap time was prime on my mental list while preparing for tonight's carnival and firework festivities. Hugo had other ideas. We three slept in this morning. I woke Cesar and in turn, Cesar woke Hugo. The boys ran into Lowe's for more materials for shaping up my pantry space. Free time for me! I ran around in my car and tried to visit all the places which are so hard to do with Hugo by my side. Trouble was, everything was closed for the 4th. Boo hoo for me. Once home and the groceries were put away, it was nap time for Hugo and myself. First Hugo wanted to shoot hoops with his Nerf basketball in his room. We both had fun and laughed a lot. Then came story time and smooches galore, after which I left the room and headed down the hall for my own sheets. Hugo played his game. Just as I was dozing off I heard the a door squeak open and a familliar voice calling, "Mooommm! I wake uuupp!" That
little stinker had told me his second fib! I remember clearly the shock of the first but it took me by such surprise that I don't remember what his lie had been about! I stood there at the time stunned, starring down at him and all I could stutter out was, "You just lied! Your first lie! Oh - my - goodness, it's starting. You're almost big!" So this afternoon, as I tucked him back in, he was crying and kicking his legs, lovely. I was so sleepy that I barely noticed. By the time I shuffled back down the hall and crawled under my own sheets, he was quiet and I suppose soon passed out. My brain was foggy but told me that I would remember this and I must post it soon so as not to forget his fib #2.

sorry about the fibbing, my dear!!! just goes with the territory. i love your fireworks photos. i took some, but we just weren't close enough to the beach.
I haven't looked at anyone's blog in awhile but I loved all the critters, yardwork, just summer-like stuff you all have been into! Keep posting those pics of your bump!

I am like you, instead of resting when you're alone you run around and do things that are hard to do with a little one :)
