This is how our Playdate Thursday began. With me, then Mr Hugo, slip slap crashing bottom first, feet up in the air, laughing the whole way down, and sllliiiiiiding through the glurp up to our waists in the murky river water. We were wet and gooey. Our playdate friends hadn't even arrived yet and here we were, soaked to the bones and stinky. Into the car a stripped Hugo was buckled and I borrowed a car blanket from newly arrived Shaka. We drove fast for home. We picked out new clothes. Washed up and dressed. Pulled through a drive thru for Dunkin Donuts treats and sped off back to the playground to meet up with our friends.*I can't believe how large my rear end looks outlined in glurpy mud. Ouch!
I love that Hugo can still fit into these snap up overalls from last year.

i'm glad you ended being able to get a pic of that rainbow. sorry i had to hang up on you like that, but the crisis was averted! i'm lovin' the muck picture! such a funny story, one you're not likely to forget anytime soon anyway!

It really is hard to get shots like that (the muddy bum). I do and I don't wish I had more shots of all of the crises we moms face daily! I haven't been able to blog for a while and am happy to be back and see these photos! Awesome! Thanks!

I think Hugo's playdate wanted to eat him. Or at least lick him. I don't blame her, I want to pinch his leetle cheekys.
