We drove to Barnes & Noble for story time today and lo and behold - almost all our favorite short friends were there!
We weren't so interested in the storytelling that was happening. I'm not sure why, but our B & N has hired a storyteller who happens to be inflicted with a permanent form of laryngitis. We can't hear a word coming out of this ladies mouth! Ever! So, Hugo hasn't cared much for the storytelling at B & N. We normally have to leave early after a scuffle over a book or not sharing the Thomas trains in the back. Today Hugo didn't fight or scream and only kicked his legs in anger at me when it was finally time to go. A huge improvement which enabled me to breathe a sigh of relief.
Hugo did dance.
His hips swayed left and right.
Jumping always works.
Hugo chose a new dance partner.
Motorcycle books... with wheels. Pretty cool.
Friends reunited.

at least your B&N story time is during the day. it's not until 7pm here! We of course can never go...bedtime, duh B&N!!!

hugo seemed to enjoy himself as much as anyone! i do wonder why oh why is that lady reading to toddlers!!
it was nice to have the little kids together again.
